You don't have time to sit back and play the ridge game here if the other team has 3 points captured. You have to force the battle.
There's no point in killing six people and losing the match to points because you played "wait and see" for too long.
This is sort of the point of conquest, it prevents stalemates and encourages mobile battles.
With the speed changes to resources gathering, a light or fast medium can beat six people if he's the last guy left late in the game and your team is trying to overcome the points deficit from letting them hold four caps for several minutes while you played team deathmatch.
