This reminds me of another thing that causes amusement. Dude gets killed by LRMs or sniped by Gauss or PPCs or ACs or whatever, then yells on chat about how his killer was a "coward" and should have "come and faced him like a man". Or someone who gets killed by someone from behind because he didn't bother turning or maneuvering and has the same complaint about his opponent needed to "face him like a man".

Always makes me snicker when I see that.

I must admit i've reacted in a similar way when the entire enemy team was toting LRMs and my PUG died in a hail of fire. I was a lot less shouty about it though.

Makes me wonder if they're shouting the same thing when we perform a lance-sweep and blow up their LRM boats... I haven't ACTUALLY seen anyone talk like that in game though, except maybe once.

Think it was something about streaks... but then, I was too busy getting hit by streaks to notice.

I do also whine a bit when both the teams somehow manage to avoid each other and the match ends in a cap win with no shots fired at all.

Capping, capping never changes.

This always gives me a laugh as 1500+ tons of warmachines totally miss each other. At least it's quick.

In my very first match in the game ever, I came up behind an Atlas in my founder's hunch. Hadn't changed anything. Stock. I hit his rct thrice with an alpha. Cored. Over open channel he tells me 'eff you' (except he said the real word).

My response?

'Your Mom did.'

Heck of an intro and I've been getting my rear kicked since. It's fun.

Some days around here it seems more like

P.S Pot - Kettle. Buddy hangs back until 4 Teammates are down, then runs in to get decimated and then calls everyone "noobs..." Even shaking ones head doesn't do that one justice. :D

You can't be in space either though. Your location says "a place with no heatsinks", but space is the ultimate heatsink.

Actually space is the worst kind of heat sink, no convection, no conduction, we'd all need huge vulnerable radiators... Since we're going with the nerd thing...

/nerdmodeon

You overly discount the third form of heat exchange. Radiant. Its the reason that space thingies have both external AND internal facing reflection (FREAKING SOLAR BLASTS and keeping in the heat respectively).

/nerdmodeoff

That was fun. Weird how I just had this conversation with a rocket scientist. JPL 4 lyf
