So I wanted to start a new mech line and level up three variants of atlas, and was about to purchase more MC to buy a DDC and and D, and realized that not even 6,500 (which is 29.99) would cover the two of them. Do you realize that we can purchase entire other games and expansion packs cheaper then what we can purchase mechs? I mean come on, I can understand paying something, but at most an Atlas should cost 5 bucks. The prices that are set are a bit off. And not to mention CBill prices on paint. A basic paint scheme for a mech costs around 900,000 cbills. I don't think painting a mech (sure, it's big, but when you compare to the prices of weapon systems)would cost almost double of what an LRM20 launcher would cost. Think about it.

You can buy any non-hero 'mech for zero RL money.

its a free to play game. You don't have to spend any money on it, but if you want to get to your goals faster (new mechs etc) you can pay RL money for it.

Question is, what is more valuable to you, your time or your money?

I agree the prices of buying mechs are pretty big, especially since they are just a "shortcut."

yeah, since the cbill prices are reasonable the MC price is kind of irrelevant.

Yeah, i know you can still build up c-bills to purchase a mech, but come on, a price of two mechs equal to the price of another full game? That doesn't really inspire much customer loyalty.

I still love the game, but I just think it should be a little more reasonable is all, that's borderline gouging! :)

Actually, the price of the two 'mechs in question is $0.00 USD.
If you CHOOSE to spend real money on them, it is up to you.

But if he so chooses, it shouldn't be that high.

I have been enjoying this game and as such would love to give you guys some money. That said, I have to agree with the beginning of this topic. The prices on mechs are too high. I understand the counterarguments, but the fact remains that I can't see my way to paying the prices they are currently asking.
