Based on what evidence? Even if this is true (which I think it is) this is not a disadvantage. Ive lured tons of mechs in my ecm cicada into my own team for an easy win when they try to focus me. They cant kill me and can only chase so imo its an advantage. To not take ecm in the games current state is handicapping yourself. Honestly I think ive played my ecm cicada probably 75-100 times total and of those times Ive probably only lost 5-10 times total and I have a negative win loss ratio. That should tell you in itself why to take ecm. Its not fun to lose. I'd consider myself a subpar/below average atlas pilot and I still have an at least 3/4 or better win percentage with my ddc compared to my rs (below 1/1). The mechs are quite similarily equipted but the ecm makes all the difference. Before the 18th I vowed to never use the ecm in its current state but now 1/2 my mechs are ecm equipt. Its what you have to do to maintain the fun in this game.
