All operating units named after R-Type craft, references often made to craft role.

The paint schemes are as close to canon if possible, but due to the limited colours i have here i sort of gave up.

CTF-IM: TEARS SHOWER
CTF-2X: MORNING STAR
CTF-4X: GRACE NOTE
ATLAS-DDC: SWEET LUNA
ATLAS-RS: VENTEO AUREO
DRG-1N: PEACEMAKER
DRG-1C: FUTURE WORLD
DRG-FL: NO CHASER

Also, i hate the character limit. its not like as if anyone else can see it, what gives?

ECM aint the only thing that dont make sense 'round these parts...

I still name them just with conventional variant names. Because there's no chance to rename and what if I will get bored with custom names?

When (If?) PGI will make renaming possible, I may give custom names, but they will always start from the variant designation, so looking at my bays I can instantly know which is what without recalling custom name. Something like "CN9-AL Hastatus", "CN9-A Princeps", "CN9-AH Triarius", "CN9-D Veles" - this way.

All my names are semi-comedic, except for the Kobold series of Commandos. But the YLW is named M1-DNG-AL1NG. My 4SP is named Alice, after that camel in that song. My Ilya is named Marmosets, and my DRG-1N is named Custard, from the old old old Ogden Nash poem, with its hero buddies Toothy and Toasty.
