Many times when fighting fast moving targets or targets that are going into/out of heat shutdown, my lasers hit the enemy target but deal no damage.
How do I know I am hitting the target? I see my small laser beams hit the enemy mech.
How do I know I am not doing any damage? I look at their module damage and I see 0 change. 2 salvos of 6 small lasers at 50m distance are supposed to do some damage...
Does it have to do with enemy mechs lagging+teleporting all over the place when moving fast or going in/out of shutdown? Any news about this getting fixed? Any tips how to deal with this for now?

Dont look at what's happening on the screen, the netcode of this game is a little crappy, making shots that connect visibly, miss because of lag.
When you have your target in your sights, press R to target it and pay close attention to his damage model. If the parts are blinking when you shoot, congrats, you're hitting him. If they dont, adjust your aim to be slightly in front of them and try again.
Note, this is more prominent with lighter, faster mechs.

Your targets paper doll info is sometimes not updating instantly. That, and the netcode is still not optimal.
