it is amusing how quickly people will push their own opinions on others even when you are not asked to. had he said" any suggestions for a better VP program?" then go ahead and bash. personally i have used norton, macafee, windows defender, and maleware bytes. and i have noticed almost no weakness in any of them. and while norton does require a little more time to set up, i use it because i would rather a false positive then a false negative, as for the actual problem mentioned, you can simply disable the antivirus for 15 minutes then turn it back on or tell it to ignore the threat. for the record i use norton 360.
I work in the IT sector, Norton is nothing but problems from my personal experience.
AVG, Avira, Kaspersky and NOD32 are pretty good when it comes to allround protection.
