the higher your ping the more you have to lead, it´s really not funny above 200ms. I guess you´re an american with a 40 ping so you can quite easily hit ravens and have fun ^^

It's a satisfying kill like Jenner kills used to be back in the day. Ravens are just the current game's bastardmech that everyone hates on. They hated on Ravens in the oldendays too, but because they were percieved as useless crapola. Funny how a single piece of tech changed up everyone's perceptions, even though I totally saw a match today where a Jenner was cleaning house like it was Closed Beta.

I'm a new player. I use ECM, and I see how ECM is a huge game changer. It's a simple matter of concentration of ECM vs ECM. I use SSRM, and when 2 Ravens with ECM (3L, which run at 150.2Kph; faster than me) it's impossible to defeat them save for skill of piloting. This is why I kill ECM 'mechs the moment I get a chance, I'll bait and draw them at a whim just to eliminate them.

The Raven 3L is faster than any other ECM mech, carries more firepower than any other light mech, and of course is more highly armored. Figure in Twist-X and they have the highest torso-twist; save for Jenners, who do not have ECM.

Ravens are simply the most effective light 'mech.

Despite being 10 tons lighter, a COMMANDO is still slower (if only slightly), and the least armed and armored.

The other day, managed to shoot a spider's leg off midair with 2 PPCs, he landed right in front of the rest of my team...

best feeling ever is a team member ECM neutralizing a raven ECM and pumping him with a 60 missilie volley till he drops at which point teamate ECM goes back under shield and runs back to team

That ECM crossed out is like a christmas gift each time

~200ms ping here... and i'm still able to enjoy killing them in my atlas.
i go for laser lead shooting the legs... so that i can put a final gauss shot in the cockpit.

Love the logic of hating the currently broken ravens and having all this epeen about killing them and I assume u hate ravens because of any of the following- ecm, streaks, broken hitboxes, lagshield.

To only find out that you are using the next most broken mech an ecm commando with 3 streaks. Defeats the purpose of this thread.
