i just wanted to know why the Stalker 3H can only twist way less than the stalker 3F(trial mech)...
I even have the twistx-ability skilled and still cant twist that much...
since the stalker is the basic model, why can it twist less...

- 5S : Two AMS
- 5M : Five missiles hardpoints
- 3F : 90° torso twist as opposed to 60° torso twist for other variants
3H and 4N are pretty much useless unfortunately :s

I got those 3. I will keep the 3F (if I do chose to sell the two others) because superior twist if pretty much superior Stalker.
The extra missile point is somewhat pointless and AMS is of doubtful value with the current ECM balance. The only reason why I have not sold the other two Stalkers is that they may change stuff in the future and make them a better choice. Right now they are not.

3H has a 20 LRM-tube in each arm.

Actually the 3H is perhaps the most powerful of the whole lot.
Load 2 LRM20's, 2 LRM15s with artemis and 2 large lasers plus a tag.
Technically, any stalker can load this setup..but the 3H is the only one that truly makes it shine. Why? Its the only one that has 20-tube arm launchers. Firing an LRM salvo in the 3H delivers higher damage on impact than the other models.... why? Because the others fire the LRM20 in bursts rather than all missiles fired at once..those bursts are then subject to the game's miss/hit code. The larger the salvo the more missiles hit.
To put in perspective, firing a 3F's 2xlrm20+2xlrm15 at a hunchback will severely damage it. The 3H one-shots it.
So, while the 3F will have better torso twist and the 5M has more missile slots..the 3H's 20-tube launcher makes an insane difference.

It does not improve torso twist.
Then what does it do if not increasing twist range as it states in description? It seems to on other Mechs.
And if it does increase twist range than have they fixed this yet? I keeo forgetting to test it.

It does increase twist range, but it only works on mechs that have lower arm actuators at the moment. Reason for that is unknown - possibly a bug, but I don't recall PGI ever acknowledging it as such.

That's your answer.
I never noticed any improvement because I never had a mech with real arms.

Oops, I forgot about that. 3H is good for LRM boating indeed... but that's it. Any other role is better fulfilled by the other 3 variants. And I think they should give something to the 4N... like more armor or something like that to make it interesting.

Are you speculating or can you solidly confirm this? To me that seems pretty awesome!
The 4N leaves me pretty curious now though... if I had more money I'd give it a shot to find out. I have a suspicion that maybe it was intended for use in some sort of future "stock only" battleground where the extra heat sinks make it a more viable option over the 3F for those who like lasers.
