It's not done for cbills, it's done to confuse the easily confused. Sending out a faster mover or two to quickly cap their base forces them to deal with it or lose the match fast. Often in their panic they spread out in a trail due to different speeds on their mechs which makes it easier to mop up the main force. That or all their fast movers break off leaving their heavier units out numbered and out gunned for easier kills.

Think of the cap point as a way to break up a mob and cause pain to a team with poor communication. It's really effective.

AGain, Removing R&R and turning this game into a generic FPS as it is now as made this game EASY for r-tards. Simple as that. Can you feel your money going down the drain lol. I resign to that many patches ago.

ANyways, Capping base is for losers, PERIOD!

BUT THERE NO NEED TO ACTUALLY CAP THE BASE! I see that as a valid tactic yes, BUT TO CAP, even worse like that stupid 'SQWARK' *** clan that suck so hard they all got cheeks down to there big toes is when they team rush the cap.

It's just shows how bad people are in my opinion, Stick your's up where the sun dont shine! :)

Plus i been pugging alot, They dont listen!

Simple solution: next time you drop into a game, just type (nicely) into the all chat channel (that would be the "T" key),

"Hey guys, lets play deathmatch, no capping allowed, ok?"

You'd be surprised how amenable folks are to playing with conditions.

Or, you might find that you'll have to defend anyway. Either way, you should have fun doing it.

And this is why successful teams are successful: bring 8 Atlas DDCs and you have absolutely no map awareness and almost no map control. A coordinated, balanced team will lure the big lumbering mechs away from their base, then send in a Commando to cap for the win.

Ermahgerd! The enemy outmaneuvered my team! It's the game's fault!

People will never learn. In conquest I just like to maintain a lead and in assault I like to get their cap down but not actually cap it unless the **** hits the fan.

The guys I drop with stomp 8 Atlas cheese teams on a regular basis. If you use 8 Atlas cheese teams, there's a very good likelihood that we have stomped you.

We use balanced, flexible teams because that's the smart way to play.

I think Hesketh is mad at teams or groups of people whos sole intention is to win by cap during assault mode for instance, cap rushing. That said you still lost for being unable to defend, it happens, there are so many in game scenarios.. win by capture or for the tactical advantage.

Most the time when we lose big time, I get mad at my team not the enemy, 'cos I'm a good scout... like prophet status. :)

YOu need read, I been pugging alot recently, And we drop 4 atlas's, as we DONT SYNC DROP like the 'sqwarkers' either. I use lights/heavy/assult and do well in all. 8v8's still have people playing? haha.

Cappers may as well lock them selves in a clossit cause that about as much you'll get out of doing it.

I wouldn't pin the blame on OP, I would say that he is voicing a common gripe about the current limitations of the game (perhaps less eloquently than he might, but nevertheless:)

That's why PGI needs to add more game options, so that folks who want just Death Match / FFA / KoH or other game types (common in other games) can play them against other like minded people. It would only increase their player base, I would think. Not everyone likes capturing to be an option in the game.

Yes there is. Because if you aren't willing to cap the base the threat of a cap, and thus breaking them up so you can isolate them and gun them down is worthless.
