I think my dual UAC5 Wang is faster, hits harder, and has more staying power
The problem that though is that you have to turn to face your opponent twice to deliver the same level of damage as an AC20, With the AC20 you fire, twist, wait, and then fire again.

This. All good Cent pilots use that left arm as a damage sink (meat shield.)
Or on city maps, fire, take cover, repeat.
Hit and run or hit and twist.

The Yen Lo Wang is an awful, awful 'mech.
Sure it's damaging and as agile as a typical Centurion making it fairly durable overall, but that huge arm is just so easy to blow off or damage - and combined with the new crit mechanics and the size of an AC/20, the second the armor comes off, goodbye primary source of firepower.
The Cent 9A by contrast stores most of it's firepower in a torso, making it way more hard to kill.
YLW is just a bad mech. Not the worst mind you, but not good.

It's sad to admit that I agree with Victor. When I first bought it I had a kick *** time running around AC20'ing people. But my arm just got blown off too many times...
That said I still think it's a lot of fun, but probably not optimal. And the harassing play that makes it work, is the same play that makes other 'mechs with more firepower work better :\

The Wang is to be respected - really, any fast, mobile mech that can smash targets with an AC20 should be feared, but that is typically only the Wang, 2 Hunchbacks, and a couple of Blackjack builds. The Wang is by far the most durable overall, though the arm (like a Hunchback's hunch) will be blown off ASAP. You do get greater zombie power and flexibility with the AC20 on the arm vs. a Hunchback, though the Hunchback can fire better from cover since the weapon pod is mounted high on the shoulder.
Anyway, it's a good mech, IMHO, though, like any mech with an obvious weakpoint, tricky to run until you know what you're doing.
