I have been playing MW:O for months now and have always enjoyed a slick, high fps, low lag game. This double XP weekend my game has been almost unplayable due to rubber banding and latency teleporting.
I haven't changed any of my settings or components but when I play all the mechs stand on the spot for a second or two then teleport forward and continue to manouevre around the map in this manner. This makes streaks tricky to use on lights and DF weapons are unusable. Each time my ping is around 70 or lower.
Is anyone else struggling with this or have any solutions?

Rubberbanding usually happens when the movement prediction code fudges a latency spike. It's been so bad that the movement prediction code can't keep up anymore: minimap freezing, weapon groups freezing, walking in place, teleporting. One such freezing episode lasted over 10 seconds. First started noticing it before the patch, and it has worsened through the weekend. Suggesting there's a massive bottleneck somewhere. PGI needs more servers?

I'm not seeing any actual rubberbanding in the way of 'mechs teleporting back and forth across the screen, but I am seeing a TON of "stop-go, stop-go, stop-go, stop-go, etc."
Very annoying, and I can't aim for crap because I can't tell where the 'mechs are actually supposed to be.
Also, I've been getting disconnected from the MechLab a lot since the weekend started.

Another name for X2 XP Weekend could have been 'Server Stress Test Weekend'. A lot of choppy sound too.

What I have noticed a lot this weekend is that I shoot a fast mech and see the hit land with no damage registering. This happens even with lasers. So annoying and totally takes away from immersion of the game for me.
Other than that, its a love/hate relationship. Love the game but hate certain mechanics of it....like most of us mech fans, I guess we have to deal with it for now.

I live in the same city as PGI hosts it servers, so I generally have a 20ms ping, and rarely ever run into the issues.
This weekend though, their servers are struggling. The ping has doubled ( up to a still easily playable 40ms, but I ALWAYS have a 20ms ping ), and worse, im seeing results that are Waaaaaayyyyyy worse than lag. I saw my mech teleport a good 100 feet earlier, and watch enemy mechs literally blink away, teleporting completely off my screen.
Either their servers are taxed, or their network is taxed.
In this case, it's not me, its you. (You == PGI)

Part of the reason I'm boycotting for a week. 2xXP is bribery to keep playing despite game balance rage.

Sadly saw this coming after X2 event posted and spiders jumping about. So only played twice over 2 days just to test they have not bothered to fix jump jet problems for other mechs.
I hope they do get some data out of it, as at the moment all they are doing is ******* off players.

Glad it's not just me. I'm managing to just about cope if I use Streaks and predict the position of the enemy mech with my crosshairs and hold down the fire button. It's not great but I am an XP *****!
