.: CoyDK's "Reaper" Loadout :.
This is a med/close range Load. It really works well for me, the only "bud" in this Load is the MG's... I cant decide if they are worth it but I dont have anything better to fit so that's why I am packing them. My tactic is pretty simple, get close and just fire EVERYTHING at what ever weak spot the enemy mech got. It seems simple but its a hard build to master but I have some really good damage outputs each match. I dont know if its just my play style that fits this but I never got the atlas or catapult to work well for me.

Any of you who can think of some upgrades I should do to my baby?

R. Torso: Dbl Heat Sink, AC/5 Ammo, MG Ammo, AMS Ammo

I'm running a 4X right now with a 250STD, 2xAC10s, 2xMGs, SRM4, and no AMS or lasers and I think 400 armour. I like it.

Personally, I don't feel the need for lasers and I appreciate the speed of the 250STD. Besides, with no room/need for heatsinks, I worry lasers might upset the balance.

Any reason you have the ammo split between two torso sides? Might be wiser to put the majority of the ammo in one side with CASE, limit the damage done by an ammo cook off. Remember, if you lose a side torso, you also lose a gun, so you won't need as much ammo anyway.

People really enjoy putting all sorts of fancy weapons on their machine-man, don't they.

Me? I'll just go with quad AC2, you know, BECAUSE I CAN.

You need to up the front armor and drop by he rear armor on your torsos OP, as your build is more brawl than alpha/twist.

I think you're missing Endo-Steel.

Personally I don't like the 4X - too much of a compromise to speed for that extra ballistic hard point. When I used to run one I ran 4 AC5 2ML like the following:

After MGuns get buffed I may try out the following for fun:
2 AC10 2 MGun 2 ML

Either way though I vastly prefer any of the other Cataphracts.

If you run a 4X, take advantage of those extra ballistic slots. And I don't mean by stuffing machine guns in there.

2 UAC5s, 2AC5s. (XL255)

20 point alphas every 2 seconds, 10 point alphas every other second. Excellent in all situations; peeking in and out of cover, and up close and personal.
