I don't think they should lower the heat of the ppc instead they should up the damage to Maybe around 12 to get it a better heat pr damage ratio. To just lower the heat will make the ppc more similar to the ac's instead of having it's own uniq signature.

What do you think?

not lower the heat, but heighten the heat dissipation and shorten cycle time so you can fire them fastest of the long range wepaons, and increase the move speed of the ppc. They are low enough to feel very inaccurate compared to the ac and the gauss. Up the damage to 12..I could see that as well.

PPC are pretty good now. Either +2 damage or -1 heat would make them balanced i think.

PPC is my favorite weapon in any MechWarrior/BattleTech game. I pilot a Catapult-K2 PPC sniper in this game.

I'm fine with PPCs the way they are. The minimum range is annoying. But, it isn't a problem.

Increasing the damage would make the 6 PPC Stalker even more extream. I think, redusing the heat wouldn't effect that build as much.

Your choise. Just keep extream builds like the 6 PPC Stalker in mind.

Adding a poll to the topic could show some interesting stats. Vote, more damage or less heat for PPCs!

Agreed with Eddrick. Damage increase is a major issue when boated. Heat reduction would be better.

If they changed convergence (so that it converges at the range to your current target) two PPCs in different arms would actually hit at the spot you want them to. That's my only real complaint now, because wielding more than one PPC is really hard once the target is within about 300 meters.
