Yeah like the headline says i´m happy to tell you that i´ve teamkilled a dragon in a brawl. All mechs are stucked in this Brawl and i send a hole bunch of my srm6 in his back, so why this makes me happy? Cause there was a red line explaining me that i lose some of my xp and some Cbills.
I haven´t aimed at these Guy and i am really sorry for that hit but the punishment should be much harder. It costs me 125xp and 10.000Cbill. Why so low? Really a teamkill is one of the baddest things that can possibly happen but it dosn´t matter if it was an accident or just a dumbass trying out new weappens, Punish him.

So what I want to tell you with this thread? Just one thing: increase the punishment for a Teamkill rappidly. Something like:
- losing a kill in the k/d ratio
- losing 500xp
- losing 75.000Cbills

If that happend i think there will even be less friendly fire, cause checking your target twice or get this hard punishment.

So what do you think, would this be to hard or still to weak for a teamkill?

Yeah and before i forget I wan´t to appologize to the pilot of the Dragon (sorry but i can´t remember his name)

I can only assume it's low because teamkills are often unintentional, and it would be too discouraging to a player to gouge them for what might have been caused by a stray medium laser.

They should really do what PS2 does. They allow up to a certain amount of friendly fire, then they simply lock your weapons and make you defenceless.

Personally, what I'd do is have the FF limit like PS2, but in addition to locking their weapons until the end of the match, I'd have R+R reinstated on the offending player player for a few matches after the match in which the FF took place.

I think accidents happen, and you should be more careful with your missles.

They probably keep it low to keep griefing down. If the punishment was really high then you might get people jumping into the line of fire so that their teammate gets a big penalty.

A FF limit would be nice to, but it could be reached very fast. Just reminding some brawls and laser weapons, cause you can´t interrupt your beam. So I think the punish should be given for a teamkill not for hitting a teammate. Hitting a teammate happend really often to me but killing one of em is just a terrible accident, and im proud that this one was just my 3 tk since i started to play this game.

How about if you do a teamkill you get nothing for the match? No XP or C-Bills at all would be a good punishment.

Friendly fire does happen and perhaps the punishment should be awarded by dead pilot. So if you TK, the person you killed can decide whether to punish your TK. There should also be a doubling of punishment per TK with a 24 hour reset or something.

I call BS on your claim. Everyone knows lights are immune to AC/20s.

A teamkill is just being the straw that broke the camelwarrior's back. If you scrape a damaged mech with a medium laser after burning through an enemy and he dies, you get punished. If you dump your full alpha into my *** at the start of the match because you want to see how much heat your 5 srm6 stalker builds, and I survive to be killed by the enemy the first time a large laser reaches out and touches me for .1 damage from a kilometre away, no punishment.

I had my 1st and 2nd team kill this weekend. All these months playing and never got a team kill before. I'd say I felt bad, but, they were not intentional. Just people darting in front of me as I fired.

I've accidentally teamkilled most of the time. Current netcode + inherent Australian lag means it can be sometimes hard to check your fire in brawls.
