Ease up on the mechs, we have enough. What makes this game boring is the repetition, and the lack of map variance is the biggest culprit - so please, before everyone gives up and stops playing this game from fatigue, put out some more maps, will you? Dedicate all the dev teams for 3 months - just push out maps constantly. When you have as many maps as mechs, then stop.

Please. For the sake of this game, the community, and it's future.

Agree, the game should have at least 10 maps.

I highly doubt they want the coders, netcoders, or many other people working on maps. Doing that would not speed up how fast they come out either.

According to this forum post there should be two new maps out in the next two months. Mind you this assumes that they are not pushed back so some reason.

I would love a map on a moon like in the old MW games. Seems easy to make, huge, gray, big craters with low gravity and low heat, and pretty stars.

That probably wouldn't speed things up either due to the amount of testing and polishing they'd have to go through (along with those same people also making in house maps).

New maps would be nice, but instead I'd like to see the current ones fixed,so there will be no more screen darkening into pitch black ok Forest Colony and Caustic Valley will be rid off the lag spikes.

I agree with this and even sugested it. (see link below) My only comment would be that it wouldn't be low heat if it is a daytime map. Earth's moon has daytime temp as high as 107C. Nighttime on the other hand have temps as low as -153C. So to make the Devs life easier the local star would have to be at it's zenith. Because any shadows, say in the bottom of a crater, would be very cold while anyplace lit by the star would be very hot. On that note though it would be intresting to have the same map with defferent ambient temps depending on weather it is the daytime or nighttime version.

Yeah, this is way more important than two mechs a month. A different map model for every two new mechs at least. If you count variants like snow and night, then one-to-one as OP suggests.

I am excited about finally getting 2 more maps, but I also have another suggestion. There are 2 variations of every map except caustic. I think it would be really cool if on caustic (assuming that is supposed to be a volcano in the middle and not just a gas chimney) there were an actual volcanic eruption. Fill the entire crater with lava, and have a couple spots where it runs down the side of the mountain and pools. Make it a night map and the glowing lava can provide all the light you need (also royally screw with heat vision making night vision actually useful).

Anything for more maps PLEASE!

I think if they released a map-creator, that would be incredible. Even better.

but, I'm not holding my breath for either.

Only if I can chose to never use those maps. PGI maps are very high quality and well designed. Community maps tend to be crap.

Doesn't matter. The focus is wrong. The lack of maps is the biggest issue with this game right now. Everything else is acceptable (for now).

I disagree on all accounts, but I'm sure there would be a legitimate selection process prior to accepting them in to the rotation.

The verification of the maps is the long pole so you're not helping here. Also this isn't SC2 map creation isn't so simple. Maps are a lot more than just polygons. You have height maps, collision maps, vertex streaming, texture grouping, and a ton of other things to consider. Better to be volunteer mapakers for PGI than to open up map making hy building community tools.

I really don't care - something, anything, would be better than what we have, and are going to have within the next two months. 6 maps for a game that's a year old is horrible. My fatigue set in 3 months ago. We don't need more mechs, we have tons. I fear the maps are being taken for granted because they're not revenue generating - but they're really just shooting themselves in the foot.

We'll most likely get another map (Alpine) in the next few months, and Desert to follow later in the year.

I've been asking and pushing for info and I was told by PGI staff that Alpine will be next month.

My guess is we'll go the rest of the year with only two new maps, if we're lucky.

You're right, they need them for cockpit items and camo.
