Not sure if anyone has tried this or not, but can you use earned XP to buy skills after you have sold the chasis?

Senario: You buy one chasis at a time, earn all the XP needed to unlock everything through Master, then sell it and buy the next one. This way you can unlock all basic, then all elite skills, w/o havint to extra mech bays filled with unused mechs.

This would also work to unlock skills on mechs you have only piloted in trial version.

There are two types of xp, mech xp and gxp. Mech xp can only be spent on upgrades for that mech, whereas gxp can be used for any xp purchase. There is a way to use xp from one mech towards efficiencies in another, by converting into gxp, which takes MC ($$) to do the conversion, at a rate of 1MC/25xp.

You didn't ask, but it's related so I'll throw it out there. Any efficiencies you unlock on a chassis, remain unlocked after selling it, so if it were mastered when you sold it, it will still be mastered if you buy it back, or whatever state it was in when you sold it, will be the same and you pick back up where you left off. Hope this helps!

You can not unlock efficiencies on a mech you don't own.

You can not convert XP on a mech you don't own to GXP.

It would be nice if the previous two statements were false.
