Many people often create threads with requests and discussions about aspects of the game, these threads usually derail or get bogged down.

Let's make a list of things that is neatly arranged so PGI will have a easy time reading it if they come across this thread.

Note that these are lists of what people personally want, don't clutter this thread by having unnecessary discussions about what some people picked.

Here's mine:

1. Ditch the 10 second heatsink cooldown we have in the game, recalculate from 4 or 5, also allow for DHS to have a 2.0 cooling rating. The reason here is that mechs like the AWS-9M should be able to fire multiple salvo's with it's PPC's before the heat buildup becomes dangerous. It also reduces the need of people to oversink their mechs.

2. Bring the ECM closer to its TT stats, the reasons for doing this should be obvious with all the complaints the people here have. ECM should only block BAP, Artemis, C3 and NARC. Although the inclusion of Ghost Targets and ECCM should make for interesting tactical scenarios.

3. NARC shouldn't simply stop working after a short period. NARC should stay active untill the component it is attached to is destroyed or the NARC itself got blasted off.

4. Have a stock mode option for players. All the cheesy designs that the players field make it impossible for oldschool players to enjoy the classic designs with all their quirks.

5. Remove the shared targeting data, this should only be possible with a C3 unit. C3 has been made redundant in the current incarnation of the game.

6. Bring back the Centurion CN9-AH, people only play the Yen-Lo-Wang for the bonus it provides, not the AC/20.

7. Be careful with how Clan tech is made available, the min max attitude of the community will make IS tech extinct in record time if it was made available in the mechlab.

8. Make skin packs available as store items, the current implementation seems a bit wasteful to me.

9. Right now in the timeline we are in the middle of the novel "Lethal Heritage", one of the best storylines in the BT universe. Telling the events of this novel through the game would generate more interest from the community. The ability to participate in these events would be the dream of every BT fan. You would get a leg up on games without such fleshed storylines (like let's say Hawken).

That's it for me, any other takers?

Whilst there may be merit in some of your wish list - I do hope the priority is on bug fixing and netcode prior to a more substantive CW feature once phase 3 MM is in - which couldn't happen soon enough for me.

1. Games with tonnage limits. Either for each individual pilot, or for the whole team.

2. When CW hits, Objective maps with fleshed out bases to defend and capture. For examples, defensive walls, turrets, turret control towers, objective buildings, gates, maybe hostile NPC vehicles. A lot like what Mech Commander did.

3. A contract system that allows players to create contracts for Merc units to take on. For example, House unit A needs a world taken. They put out a contract that Merc units bid on. The winning bid Merc unit takes over the planet in House unit A's name. House unit A would provide the payment out of their units Cbills.

Op, I agree with your list. In particular I agree with #9, a significant point. To add, I would want point 10 to be what I wrote in the following post:

...Once the above-mentioned tuning is further along (I'd expect within 4 - 12 months), the development of the meta-game will rise to the surface as the most important remaining aspect of MWO. ...Workng for a House or Merc unit (or even a pirate and eventually a Clan), receiving orders or negotiating contracts, choosing missions, having live effect on the changing war theaters, borders, planetary resources, organic economy; eventually earning (through ownership or assignment) even dropship and jumpship resources so you can have less concern about logistics and cost of Inner Sphere travel and drops; earning contacts and favors or negotiating or earning special access to factories (mechs and parts), not to mention political favors.

The complete presentation of a living Inner Sphere has endless possibilities. Players of BT have known it for years, have waited for the computer game that would come along and make a stab at it again, and for the first time in a massive player experience. And of course, for MWO, with the viewpoint of the mechwarrior as the focus.

Obstacles have been overcome and success has occurred in the mechbay and matches, and it will keep evolving. But go for the metagame. Offer us the Inner Sphere and so, so many will stay.

I can also appreciate Exoth3rmic's comment, and yes, we need stability and strong performance as a foundation.

1) ECM nerf back to tabletop....not Total Warfare, not Op Tac....TABLE TOP functionality.
2) Narc boosted to table top, as in if you HIT a mech with it, its there until that part is busted off.
3) Distinct ammo types (narc, Artemis, tag homers etc) LBX SLUG
4) Complete heat rebalance weapons with a 3 second firing cycle with a 10 second heat cycle is killing the stock mech functinality......actually a bunch of weapon and heat passes...play with the damn numbers finally
5) A real economy, I liked trying to decide if a mech was to expensive to run
6) Nerf convergence even with my 4 Mpulse Cicada being able to pinpoint that damage is ridiculously effective.
7) Buff MGs to slas DPS, they'll still require more uptime........
8) Make flamers heat negative with a cycle say 5on/5off or something, its the only way they are ever going to be mounted
9) Flip laser burn times, smalls get large burn, larges get small's burn
10) Camo.....WTH The PC Gamer idea was perfect, make the patterns and colors all permanent entries to my repertoire and I'll end up with all of them.
