I thought about painting my mech with some of the non-free colors. I looked at the prices, thought, "Nah," and continued on with my day. Probably because I'm not six years old and I don't throw a tantrum every time I don't like something.

I agree the paint costs seem a little overpriced, but what gets me is the pattern prices. if they were a full unlock and not per chassis i would consider it, but i dont stick to a chassis long enough to justify the cost.

Camo paints are only 250MC at the moment, that's $1.40 or 80p in English money. Buy 3 colours and the 4 basics for C-Bills and you have lots of options.

Also camo skins are only 75MC for a single use, much cheaper than they were before this patch.

And while the game is free to play PGI is in it to make money, it makes sense that they'd start the prices off being a bit high and bring them down over time. I believe it's called "not going broke and closing the game down". They just have to play around and find the sweet spot.

This prices are all to permanently unlock the color that you can use to paint every single mech you own. I spent 3k on colors, and combined with the PC Gamer colors I can make my mechs look really bad ***.
