THIS: I have a notebook with the same i7, but with a 5870m, and it doesn't matter WHAT settings I have it on, be it 1024 x 768 with everything low or 1920 x 1080 with high settings. The minute I look at anything on the screen it drops down to 15 FPS. You may see a minimal improvement upgrading the card, but don't expect miracles with that processor. As to which to procure, which ever one is the newer card, as they at least make minor architecture changes every revison at minimum.
