Stop Whining

I see a ton of complaints about ECM however I don't have that much of a problem with it. Sure it makes you undetectable up to a certain range, doesn't allow missile lock, so adapt. If you're running solo, don't take a dedicated LRM boat because you don't know if your team will have a tag or enough ECM to counter theirs. Learn to shoot balistics and manage your heat. Learn the different projectile speeds and lead your targets.
Heres a tip, if a mech overheats, instead of continuing to move, hit full stop and alpha strike it in the face or back.
CYCLE FIRE YOUR WEAPONS HOLY @#$%, I see soooo many people just alpha striking over and over and its disgusting to watch because you overheat in 3-4 volleys. Don't use group fire unless you have a clear shot at someone, you'll just overheat.
As far as game development, weapon balancing, and matchmaking goes here's what I think. Netcode is obviously being worked on as the devs had said time and time again, they have a dedicated team specifically for this and its not something you just crank out in a week.
Weapon balance seems fine to me at this point. There are quite a few builds that are quite wicked to run into if you get caught all by yourself (6xSRM6 cats and 2xAC20 cats come to mind, I get wrecked even in my atlast by those). Over all though I think they have balanced the weapons close to what table top rules are. I'd like to see a little buff to LBX AC's but I think streaks are fine and I play lights a lot.
Matchmaking right now is pretty lopsided I do agree and 4 man groups do tend to just dominate games. I guarantee the first time they implement a new version of matchmaking with an MMR (match maker rating) or ELO there will be que times and people will just start complaining about that. I played a lot of Hero's of Newearth and the community bitched about the same things.
In conclusion, shut up, the game developers are busting their ***** on this game and do in fact (contrary to popular belief) give a flying #$%@ what the reasonable people thing and what they want the game to be. As they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day" the same applies here. The game will get better over time and there will always be whining from noobs. Developing something like this is going to take time and honestly I think the time frame they set for themselves was unrealistic and they bit of a bit more than they can chew.
I also feel like they might be slightly more on schedule than they lead on to be. They might have a bunch of the clan mechs/tech developed/being worked on already and they just aren't telling us because if they give us a expected time line people will just start their whining again if they aren't able to meet it.
So, stop your bitching and let them handle it, if you don't like the game, you don't need to spend money on it! I however love it and will continue spending money on it to get what I want out of it.

I agree with you, a lot of people need to learn how to critic before posting, but...this is a free accessible forum for a F2P game. What do you expect?

Can MWO be fantastic? Definitely yes.
Is MWO currently fantastic? Hell no.
Take off your pink glasses and learn to differentiate. The forum is meant for feedback. If some of the feedback is negative, then that's that. If the devs would prefer to only read praise and no criticism, they should say so.
And we don't really have to talk about the fact that some of the negative topics are exaggerated or just horrible and some of the positive topics are fanboy'ish, blind and outright non objective.

Maybe we should discuss the psychological side effects of long exposure to low frame rates and yellow filters.

They sure do. That is why they are hanging out on the shitsite reddit. Reddit means blow *** in some foreign language.
But they do post here too, not so much these days because they have lots and lots and LOTS of work to do.

Can't you guys just bump yesterdays? Or the one from the day before? I know life is hard when your emotional state is tied to the criticism your favorite video game developer gets (during a beta test, no less) but surely there are better outlets?
