I dont know what to say really so i shall present the facts and see what you all think...........

Caustic map

piloting a 5s stalker

load-out.....6 medium lasers.....4 srm6's.......2 ams
heat 1.21

targets attacked 1 Centurion

targets killed 0

damage done 721

target was still alive at end of match..........

(is something broke cos he didnt even loose an arm or leg)

I'm guessing he's one of those pilots that makes his mech do the cha cha when getting shot at (Surprisingly effective)

Never understand why people don't constantly twist and move to spread out fire - particularly vs missile spammers. Play a xl Flame and you HAVE to spread the fire or you lose your engine/energy weapons.

Well Centurion has 338 points of armor so it is possible you stripped all his armor off and then did damage to internal structure. I don't know tbh.

An amazingly large amount of damage considering the Centurion's armour maximum is 338; even accounting for internals this 'only' allows for 507 damage total. Not even that, due to destroying both legs/CT/head to allow that amount of damage.

Sure there wasn't another Centurion?

Even if he twisted like a crazy monkey that's pretty strange. Since Internal health points of all parts + full armor of a cent shouldn't be nowhere near the 700 mark...

Wasn't there something wrong with how SRMs work since two patches ago? I remember reading a post by Thomas. I'll go see about finding it.

The damage is enough to kill 8 Mechs - strange is that even with torsotwist there is no way to survive 700+ damage in a medium.
It simply does not work!

Question? Did you fire on ANY other mech out there whatsoever?

there's a know bug about rear damage not being transfered to the front internals. I think it affects XL engines. But could account for the invincible Cent. http://mwomercs.com/...4-known-issues/ the last post at the bottom.

Yes there was, but it doesn't have to do anything with this topic, since it only affected mechs which already had lost side torsos or arms. The bug was (still exist) that if you shoot a volley of SMRs into a mechs RT, the damage splashes over to the side torsos and arms even when they were already off, resulting in less damage done to the RT.

Ive had similar results with SRM 4's + Artemis in a Stalker 5M.

Had a hunchback come charging in a straight line, gave him 4 volleys of 5 SRM4+ART in the L/R/C-T and he walked away. That was before the last patch so maybe it was a netcode issue that dissapeared the damage.

Ah, good to know. No idea what's up with the OPs issue then. Unless he did in fact fire at others.

Nothing broken, the Centurian is known as the zombie mech for a reason you know. Those things just don't want to die.

There have been issues in the past where damage being shown was off by a mile, might be seeing it again.

I played a game yesterday where I got 4 kills, and had 160 damage at the end of the game. Each kill was with dual gauss rifle shots, so thats 120 damage right there. I -KNOW- I fired off a lot more than 4 bursts, and hit with most of them.

Damage counts aren't always accurate.

Other version... you simply fired on more than one mech. When my team and I play 3 of us are in flames with an ecm cicada as the fourth - all concentrating on taking down one target after the other. Deliberate attempt to confuse as we run different but coordinated loadouts - usually two very high alpha short range and one medium/long range "softener".

Not convinced there was foul play unless you have fraps.... which we'd be delighted to review ;)
