Yo fellas! Now, seems to me I have version 1.2.0.0. This patch loaded when I joined today. Where can I see exactly what version I have currently?

I wish there was training grounds in this game. So now training grounds??
I loaded MW4 merc earlier but stuck on .0028-no patches available for now.

I shall start training in mw4 merc and when I'm ready I will join a clan with Teamspeak!

Laterz

Slappshot, just because your train of thought if not right at all.
I'm going to be blunt.... in theory to help you out :)

What your doing mixing up the 2 games is defo the worst thing you can do.
What you will bring to MWO from playing MW4 is bad habbits.
Everything from game play to weapons even to mechs are either slightly different or completely different.

Once you can log into the game and you looking at mech bay then your up to date.

Anyways welcome to the game, hope you have fun

It's because of playing MW4 that I could start playing MWO without too much trouble. Learning to circle strafe, duck and cover and all that is much easier when doing it in a low pressure environment.

Huh. Knowing how to play MW4 well didn't help me at all in MWO.

While the basics are all there in both games, I agree that, not knowing the differences, could lead to some bad habits.

MW4: Laser damage is instantaneous
MWO: You have to hold the laser on target

MW4: Having to lead targets with ballistics was minimal
MWO: Properly leading targets requires skill

MW4: LRM's were faster. Did they ever miss?
MWO: LRM's are slower, can be out maneuvered, and the shooter needs to maintain lock

MW4: Smaller mechs were simply temporary until you could afford a larger, better mech
MWO: Smaller mechs can be every bit as effective as larger mechs

The list could go on....

On the other hand, my previous Mechwarrior experience was of significant help in the Mech lab.

Agreed , just play MWO , join a group and they will help with your skills !! MWO has a learning cliff so you will need a little hand holding and patience !! http://phoenixdominion.com
