when playing a light mech in conquest mode, i find i spend alot of my time capping points, usually alone, sometimes partnered up. when the round is over, everyone gets the same amount of rewards for the resourses. it seems to me, that those who capped points should get a little extra for doing the capping. i certainly do NOT get anything for the kills and damage the rest of the team is getting, cause while i am capping, they are fighting.

too many conquest modes turn into brawls as there is very little incentive to cap points. what is it? 34,900 cbills if all points are maxed in your favor at the end of the match? nothing for XP i believe.

Yeah, we've talked about this in another post. A couple of us suggested that "fortified" points earn more Resource Points. Meaning... the more people you have on a point the faster it claims resources. Or something to the like. It will prevent needless brawls around the map, and focus more fights for the actual objective.

It will also mean that the only way to play conquest in in a light mech. Should never be the way.

I agree; I think people should get c-bills based on how much time they spend on the point while it is being capped. Thus, if someone caps a point alone and it takes a long time to do it, they get more c-bills while if a group caps the point quickly everyone gets a little bit.

I think it would also be cool to have a bonus for people standing on the point when enemy control is lost and when team control is completely filled.

There could be a time delay on the bonus for removing enemy control though, so that two people fighting on the point don't get paid a bunch of little bonuses as control bounces back and forth.. Maybe a bonus for removing control, but it can't be triggered again until your team has gained at least 10% control and lost control again.... or something to that effect.

Or maybe just for the first time a cap has its control removed and every time your team regains full control (with some sort of delay) that way an enemy won't want to just remove only a little bit of control if he doesn't think he can't take the whole point... because it would mean giving the next enemy who claims full control again a bonus.

IN SHORT: Yes, people standing on the points and capping them should get bonuses for achieving objectives. Otherwise everyone just wants to slug it out for more c-bills. After all, if you get several kill-assists and die, but your team loses you could get paid more right now then if you run around clamming points and your team wins.
