Devs, I know you are working hard implementing the last things this game needs: Achievements. When you are done saturating the game with them, PLEASE, give me the option to disable them. I find them to be annoying, and borderline insulting. Its a terrible trend we all have xbox to thank for.

i think they can be a good in depth way to show player skill. in stead of just having KD and WL. they would allow people a glimpse of how a given player opperates if they are implemented properly.
but i won't complain too much since you just want more options. at least you are being reasonable about something you don't like.

I'm pretty sure Valve/Steam had achievements before Microsoft/Xbox?

I don't think they're going to be as mindless and arbitrary as the typical "achievement" systems in console games (e.g., "Freedom Fighter" Burn 1200 Pairs of Underwear, "Walking Man" Walk 2 Miles, etc).
Instead, I think they will be more akin to actual badges of experience and accomplishment (i.e. tied to the player's stats and XP) so that certain features of the game can be unlocked.

the last thing i want is people in my team who are only trying to tick off all the boxes in their achievment list as a 1st priority, and playing as a team to win matches as a 2nd priority, just my opinion. i mean its enough with afk farmers and kill stealers as it is

i think they would be best as small per round achievments.
