Four Legs And Arms.

I have idea what I want to share, and I hope it would added to game.
Free to ask for better terms and conditions.

Four Legs
- 1,5x weight tolerance or less
- 2x Slower speed [KPH] or more
- need more Heat sinks?

Four Arms
- 2x critical slots or/and Hardpoints ?
- 2x Lower max weight [Tonnage]
- need more Heat sinks?

Example
Cataphract CTF-4x with four leg's makes it move 24,3 KPH but makes max tonnage 105. or less
and
With four arm's makes it have double hardpoints and more critical slots but takes less 35 tonnage of the tolerance.

Example #2
Spider SDR-5K with four leg's makes it move 85,1 KPH but makes max tonnage 60. or less

If you get my point of view.

Arm's don't have to be in side of mech, thei can be on back of the mech and directed to front. http://www.sarna.net...5_warhammer.jpg

They have said in past forums that they could not do this under the current framework of the game, and that it could happen just not planed to happen.

All I'm seeing here is four legged Hunchback 4Ps with 8 PPCs; CTF-4Xs with four arms, four legs and 6-8 gauss rifles; four legged, 12 PPC stalkers... You get the idea. We would all suffocate in the smell of the Stilton. It would be cool if it weren't for the current hardpoint system which could be so easily abused with it.

Tho i kinda liked Front Mission: Evolved. can't see they will ever add that kind of customization to this game.

Maybe a mech that has 4 legs, but not change mech in such ways.

""Tripodal
'Mechs normally have two or four legs. The only three-legged 'Mechs known are the exotic Colossal class Ares 'Mechs which appeared in the early 3130s. The Hedgehog was previously mentioned as a tripodal 'Mech from the Star League era, having allegedly been introduced in 2602, but it is not considered canonical""

""Quadrupedal
The Quad 'Mech uses its "arms" for legs which gives these designs some additional stability and maneuverability (such as sidestepping, also known as lateral shift movement). The concept was much maligned for sacrificing the overall versatility of BattleMechs and the early designs, notably the Scorpion and the Goliath, proved flawed, being notoriously difficult to maintain and highly susceptible to breakdowns. It was only around the year 3060 that improved technology led to new quadrupedal 'Mech designs, although the stigma associated with the general concept still lingers. Bipedal BattleMechs remain the vastly more common 'Mech""

Hate to break it to the OP, but there are already quad legged mechs in battletech.

Plus, as someone already mentioned, the devs already confirmed that the chances of quads making it into the game are somewhere between very unlikely and not at all, with it leaning towards not at all due to technical limitations.

Awww hell no. Not in my MWO. Sorry, but in BT you don't just slap on a new pair of arms because you feel like fitting more pew pew. Or a few more legs because your keen of stomping. Heck, even fitting an extra laser requires extensive refitting at the factory. Not to mention there are enough bloody abominations walking round as it is, with 6PPC Stalkers, AC/20 Cats and Kerensky only knows what else.

If they wanted to add the existing quadraped Mechs, I could just about tolerate it. God those things were hideous. But the day I see a 4 legged Atlas is the day I finally accept the world isn't the place for me. Some kind of Longsword(just to be clear, the stabby thing, not the stompy thing) related massacre would most likely ensue.

Using one of the canon quads? Sure.

Modifying canon bipeds to be quads? HELL NO! I WILL SPECIFICALLY HUNT YOU DOWN ON THE BATTLEFIELD TO THE EXCLUSION OF ALL ELSE.

If we wrap a tow cable around its legs we can bring it down. Then we just have to vibroblade the bottom and throw a C4 charge in. On me Rogues.

Only if I can climb up under its belly, cut open the hatch with my lightsaber, and then toss in a thermal detonator.

EDIT: Thirdstar beat me to the Star Wars reference.
