7. The ability to target friendly 'mechs? Maybe

I'm really excited. Imagine kamikaze Commando bringing an Atlas down via friendly LRMs locked on him ^_^

LOL, just what I need. I barely trust my teammates when they can't lock on to me. ^_^

Think about Ravens 3L in a team full of Raven haters ))) "Will I be able to stay alive for the first 10secs?..."

I'm a fan. Or if not targeting, something where I can get a readout of the current active weapon listing on a friendly. Seems silly we can see what an enemy is going to try to blast me with, but I can't see what the guy I'm going to be covering has.

It also makes it so never again will I charge in being backed up by a hunchback that is out of ammo and swinging a TAG and a medium laser. Excellent son, your flashlight and single pew has totally got my half dead atlas's back.

Also it just occurred to me to ask. Is this 'kamikaze Commando' maneuver a consensual tactic or something they crops up unwanted on the recipient from time to time.... like in-laws or her-pes.

I have the worst feeling that this will not be for the best, hilarious results maybe, but for the best I fear not. :(

EDIT: Apparently well known diseases are censored.

Another idea: premade using PUGs as a meatshield by threatening them B)

I hope it doesn't happen. I can see the griefing now. The only good thing I can see friendly targeting for is for repairs, repair bot type of thing. Which sounds too much like a typical mmo.

Don't you want to see the weapon load-out of your team?

If this is what is meant that that would be great. I read it as actually targeting your friendlies. Targeting is a direct lockon of your target while an informational readout would be just a target info screen, no targeting(lockon). Did I just read it wrong?

Not sure myself. But it's more interesting to speculate about locking on B)

Hehe, I see now that that was probably the intent. I would not endorse being able to lock LRMs, I agree B)

Just getting target data though, would be useful.

Quite a bit of new players don't even understand that there're teams and shoot at everything moving. I was shocked when I saw this for the first time.

I can't think of any good reason to be able to target your own team. After all, all that would do is allow you to use SSRMs and LRMS on team mates. What is the point of that?
