Hi, I've been playing this game a few days so I can't comment on a large number of balance issues. However I would like to let my thoughts known on other issues. If these things have been brought up in the past, just add my voice to the growing murmur among new players.

PGI, if you'd like more people to spend money on MC you need to look at your pricing. Yes this is a F2P game and that's awesome, but spending anywhere from 10 - 25 dollars for ONE mech in a hanger of a half dozen or more? Especially without an area to test builds or other functionality? Thanks but no thanks. Also throw in another 3 - 4 dollars if you want to paint it something other than 4 horrible colours? Ouch. If new mechs were 5 dollars and colours were around a dollar to unlock I'd probably have already dropped a bunch of money.

My other gripes are really things I've read are going to be fixed or are being looked at already. Netcode issues, matchmaker weirdness, random bugs, lack of maps. These are things that hit new players the most and should be expedited.

I want to leave some positive feedback as well. The combat is excellent and the mechs "feel nice. The weapons are well done and you can always tell what's being fired at you which is great for making that tactical retreat decision. The graphics are excellent and the sounds keep my ears happy :D

I sense a new wave of "new players" will be pouring in after today's closing remarks in "ask the devs"...

Also I agree 100% with the OP, that's my only problem with the game, besides of course lag/net code

I plan on treating this like the pay to play MMOs I've played in the past....$10 a month and not a penny more. With that ill buy what I can.

Is it just me or..i see a new account claiming to be new player with what seems a more than new player understanding of the current list of gripes with a liberal helping of but this is good to balance the post.
Im truly sorry if you are indeed a New player but seen to many Troll first post accounts.
On the bright side i see the post as quite constructive with some good points.
Welcome to MWO i hope its a lot of fun for you, good hunting.

No. Those 4 mechbays are sufficient to have tons of fun and there is no pay to win etc. If you do everything right, you can have two to three different, favourite chassis all well equipped and mastered. It takes a bit more time and effort though if you don't want to pay MCs for extra mech bays. The other items that involve any micro transactions are not a necessity to having fun.

One of two things are possible from this post.

1. You're actually telling the truth and it will be fun.
2. You're lying only to lure a noob onto the battlefield to gain ewasy frags...lol

Either way...it's all good!

Well I'm 30 years old, have over 2 decades of gaming time (started on my dad's C64) and usually like to browse the official forums of whatever new online game I'm getting into. So I've gotten a good idea of why certain things are happening instead of coming here and saying "WTF!? This Raven-3L just ran around me shooting and I couldn't get a lock on with my LRM's at 50 meters!" or something similar.

The one thing I don't understand about angry posters is that this is a free game. You can play without spending a single cent (like I have) and get a ton of enjoyment. If you hate certain things about the game or dislike the bugs, just stop playing until they fix it. You haven't lost anything at all.
