Try toggline 'O' to make sure override is set in the off position - or on position and see what happens after a few goes.

I confirm aswell. Haven't had this for some patches now and got it yesterday again. Solved by powering down and up again.

I think: when you power dopwn at 105% and your mech has 20 DHS, your Engine cools down really fast and powers up automaticly...so pressing P in this moment you power DOWN. Then press P again and again so you never leave the downscreen powering up and down in cycle. I tested it with firing 4 PPC at 99%. Mech powered up immideatly after pressing P and I lost internal structure (and then blown my Mech by firing again :D ). So I think its a matter of Time. With Elitepowerup skil the autopower up is always faster than your finger :D

I am getting it with much increased frequency. It used to be once every 10 matches or so, now its 75% of all overheat shutdowns. I noticed that it is more prevalent if it is a big spike (6 ppcs) vs gradual (chain fired uac5s).

As tittle I can't seem to power back up after a shutdown. And yes, I am using P, not O...

Same here, neither O or P doesn't work.

It it possible that you're trying to power up while shutdown sequence isn't finished? Try to shut down, wait a few secs for clean experiment (to be sure that shutdown is complete) and then hit power up. Will mech react any faster?

having the same problem.

before i could shoot 1 ppc at 89% heat and manage to shutdown for just 1.5 secs.

now i do that and the shutdown lasts about 10 seconds...

PS. Oh and pressing P or O doesn't work at all after shutdown, unless it activates the shutdown screen bug

I've noticed multiple times in a row when my 'mech has overheated that on powerup my HUD is still showing me shut down not allowing me to lock/target anyone.

I have not had it in weeks, had it yesterday. Not saying it went away, but Ive played hundreds of games without getting it, so at the very least it has become far more common.

I think override needs to be enabled before shutdown now (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

And I'm pretty certain they've changed the mechanic so that you need to wait until you are completely shut down before powering back up - this one I'm pretty sure on.

It's an old bug - for now you need to power cycle to get it away and try to manage your heat better. You do still lock and target while it's active, just can't tell who or the status of the lock - just an fyi if your in the thick of things.

I have that problem too. I can hit P all I want, but it only powers back up after cooling off. Also, when I intentially power off, it seems like there is a HUGE lag to power back on. I am mashing P for a second or two before it decides to come back online.

90% of the time when my mech shuts down after an overheat, it comes back on with the over ride shutdown screen and no HUD. I have to manually power down again and power back on before the screen goes away and I have a HUD. This was a very rare bug before the over ride and power mechanics were changed. Now it is almost every time I overheat shutdown.

Please contact me if you want more info from my system.

Also.... little feedback on the new system.

The over ride functionality is hard to use. You have to plan on over riding shutdown BEFORE you fire otherwise you don't get the change to hit it after you do. It would be nice if you have half a second where it told you auto shut down was enabled before you actually shut down. I have yet to be able to actually over ride the shut down sequence. Also, manual power on after a shut down doesn't seem to be working for me. I can mash P all I want, but it only powers on after it has cooled off.

The new system seemed off to me as well but really didn't do much on my part to get the hang of it. I will step aside tonight and experiment more before I come to any conclusions.

Had a similar problem.
But after hitting P a thousand times I could walk again.
But I had no HUD could not shoot or navigate.

Somehow when I overheat I tend to have several guys around that want to kill me ... so waiting a second is not an option in my immersive mech warrior world..... :P
