I had to use a commando for a clan trial for one of our bondsmen. I put an SRM 6 in the CT and was surprised by something. Rather than launching 1 group of 6 missiles per salvo like I do with my C1, I fired 3 groups of 2 per salvo.

I noticed some short patches took place, so what this a change to SRM 6's? Or was it because the Commando doesn't have as many launch tubes?

You can only fire as many missiles from any given bodypart as there are tubess.

So if you put an SRM4 in that commando's center, he'll fire twice, two missiles each. If you put two SRM2 in there, he fires 4 at the same time in a super concentrated salvo.

Don't ask.

It's the tubes. Try firing an LRM 20 out of a narc launcher sometime :lol:

The commando was built around SRM/Streak 2s So it only has 2 tubes on its missle hard points to fire missiles out of. If you put a 6 in it will fire 3 waves of 2 . You wanna see something really funny put an LRM20 on the Narc pod spot on a stalker and fire that off....******* LRMs 1 at a time hehe.

Yeah, the actual implementation is pretty obtuse.

There's no logical reason why an LRM 20 fired out of a 10 tube launcher would fire 2 volleys of 10 while 2 LRM 10 launchers in that same tube would fire both volleys at the exact same time.

Bcs they handle each launcher separate instead of adding launcher in the same location together which gives quite some strange behavior depending on the number of tubes.
I am curious what options the Trebuchet will offer - a jump capable mech with 2 srm6 in the arm headshoting from midair the enemy?
I feel it will make the A1 look underpowered.
