New (production-level) server hardware arriving early July, so closed beta phase 2 begins around July 10th. Some of the folks in this phase will be drawn from the founders pack purchasers... but not necessarily all.
August 7th anyone who has purchased a founders pack gets to join the closed beta. There will be no more server wipes after this point, so founders will get their mechs and money that day.
At some point after that, but before the end of summer, it will go to open beta where anyone can play.

I saw the line in the update saying that the July 10th phase 2 will be drawn from the founders pool, but i haven't seen anything saying they would draw new beta testers from outside this pool. Where did you see that?

Lol whatever man I think just about anyone who has a founder tag wouldn't mind playing the beta. Most of us have played many betas and the odds are good that that we've all played a few stinkers.
If you love a game through and through you can play it in an unfinished form and still have a lot of fun.
Since this guy obviously doesn't want a beta invite... give me his if you were thinking about giving him one!

Well of course i would love to play it, but theres no reason to be impatient. They dont people who will just play the game either, they want people who will notice and find bugs and then fill out reports and send them in. Saying things like "omg i cant wait to play wheres my invite omgomgomgomgom mom make me another hotpocket" isnt gonna get you any closer to your fix bud.

Amen... I played the last open beta weekend of The Secret World... I'll lump it into the stinker category. Pretty game, story and mission system seemed good. Absolutely hated the combat mechanics.

I think that this should only apply to people who do not understand what "beta" means becasue anyone comparing a beta product to any of those production games you mentioned clearly does not. I would welcome the chance to offer feedback on this game and do whatever I could to help make it a better production experience than play any of those games :-)

You are one of the few who actually want to TEST the beta then and not play it.

That is what beta means, testing, load-balancing, iteration, rendering, somehow this concept has be twisted in people's minds to mean that beta = early access to a completed game. Some companies have marketed it that way which has contributed to the confusion. In Developmental terms "Alpha" and "Beta" testing are phases of the development cycle when you start to introduce load to the hardware and prepare for the production environment. The benefit is you get to play a game before it is release and usually for free and in return you fill out quality assesments on the game or submit bug reports.
