K2 (Catapult) Hero Mech:
4x Ballistic (R/L Arm, R/L Torso)
2x Energy (R/L Torso)
1x AMS (R Torso)
2 Module slots
The only changes from the standard K2 are the two energy hard points on the arms switched for two ballistic hard points. Seems like a minor change, but it would make a world of difference. You can put your Gauss/AC20's in the arms for better aim, and less breaking of immersion, fit an XL engine with your AC20 if you fancy it, and if you don't like that sort of thing you can go quad AC5 or something more balanced that imo work better than a one trick build anyway. I think it would be a lot of fun, and would probably sell pretty well given the popularity of the chassis.

The Detonator was the legendary Battlemech piloted by the legendary two time Solaris champion Hamish 'the Exploder' MacBain throughout his legendary career until his untimely, if legendary, death in a fireball in 3028. Immediately recognizable with it's vivid yellow and black paintjob and flame embossed gun mounts, the Detonator is still feared in arenas across the Inner Sphere and has built a reputation as a mech you do not take lightly.
The calm and pleasant personality that made him such a hit with the fans was forever at odds with the ferocity of his fighting style, maximum throttle, in your face combat. The dual AC10's would pop holes in his enemies armor to be exploited by near constant fire from the machine guns and flamers, blinding his foes in a hail of superheated bullets that cracked cockpits and set engines ablaze.
His record breaking string of victories and back to back championships ensured his place on the Solaris wall of fame, but despite the loss to the sport it was widely understood his tragic death by exploding was at least ironic, and he would have wanted it that way.
