25/4 .16 Commando = 16%
35/4 .11 Jenner = 11%
40/4 .10 Cicada = 10%
50/8.5 .17 Centurion = 17%
50/10 .2 Hunchback = 20%
60/10 .167 Dragon = 16.7%
65/10 .15 Catapult = 15%
70/11 .16 Cataphract = 16%
80/15 .188 Awesome = 18.8%
85/13.5 .159 Stalker = 15.9%
100/19 .19 Atlas = 19%

These are all the "base builds" that are showcased on Sarna databases for each mech's page, which conform to one or the other of the stock variants that are most basic, that is without Endo, FF, DHS, etc.

shaving off a ton of armor is like being hit by a single volley of LRM since you can shave 2 points off in all areas and then 2 more points from any random point. There might be a recommendation to do that if you need some more heat sinks or ammo, because the lack of one or the other can't support your mech on average.

We can see that support units typically have lower percentages of armor, while Units designed to get into the mix have higher percentages.
