Not any of mine.
Personally, I think the lite pilots who are now running ECM are the ones who couldn't pilot a lite mech anyway.
Or...its just the flavor of the month.Either way...
I STILL run my Jenny, I STILL get solid kills,I STILL make all of you chase me.
Learn and adapt.
Now, hopefully with some implementation to the lagshield issue, maybe you guys will finally stop your little rants.
But no matter what they do to this game , Im still out there, waiting to drop you, IN my Jenny.

oh looks its a baby jenner how cute *strokes it with some srms*

I've killed too many Jenners to remember the pilot name of each so I'll have to trust your claim that you have never been 1 of my kills.

I'm really not a dedicated light pilot as I play mechs in all weight classes depending on the needs of my group. I think many light pilots will be complaining when collision knockdowns finally return. I became more interested in playing lights to be able to deal with the increasing number of light mechs when collsions were first removed since I was tired of watching the average pug players in lights unable to hit enemy lights. The Raven 3L was the most effective Jenner hunter so it made sense to use the most effective mech for the job.

Anyway, since the introduction of ECM I have piloted the following mech variants:
2x Atlas
3x Stalker
1x Awesome
3x Cataphract
4x Catapult
3x Centurion
3x Hunchback
1x Cicada (it was a piece of **** so I sold it)
1x Raven (already had the 3L master unlocked pre-ECM)
1x Commando

I saw one last night in a 8vs8, then blew him away.

Maybe not extinct, but surely an endangered species. ^^

Well, with all those new mechs people just move on. Now spiders are in training for most light mech' pilots.
BUT! I drive a jenner now. And when I will park behind your heavy/assault with my 6 medium lasers - y'r ain't gona be happy about that!
Also, shredded 3 commandos in one match in a row in that beast.

Hard to play? Hell yes, but it's small and lots of armor - ravens get toasted much faster. Just give people some time to adapt.
It's just like a hunchback - untill you get the wind of it, you get wasted pretty much all the time. After some hard practice and time you start to become a shadow that appears from nowhere and dissapear to nowhere leaving only enemy wrecks behind.

As long as i play this game, the Jenner doesn't die out.

I play relatively often 5/10 matches a day and i havnt seen a jenner in weeks. is it purely the lack of ECM or some other factors conspiring against the guy?

i guess it´s weither a strange coincidence or you need to go to the optician^^ i see alot of jenners still, and run one myself the last 3 days... and i gotta admit, though i didn´t play lights for a good while now, i am having a blast in the jenner...

all the saying how bad it is to play a jenner now are nonsense imho, but to each their own...

people just seem to need the ECM as a "patch" for the missing lagshield lately

For what reason would someone choose a Jenner with no ECM over a Raven with ECM that protects the whole team?
If they would remove streaks from the game completely you still don't have a reason not to prefer the ECM Raven if
you are a teamplayer.

simple answer: i tend to keep the evil enemy lights from my ECM Atlas´s 4$$es, that gives me ECM if i need it, and makes me viable for the team...or i support my fellow ECMandos/ ravens... you can be a teamplayer in many ways... and btw, most of the time i see ravens run around alone, far ahead of the team and not even reporting what they see... how is that "teamplay"?

those, btw, are the ravens i prefere to leg and leave them where they are :)

and another answer: because everyone says you have to take a ECM raven, everything else is bad... let´s just say: challenge accepted

( i even removed my ssrm´s that i had before....so noone can say "meeeh, you only killed me because of streaks" B))

for me the most prominent reason for only using my Jenner rarely is the "fix" to jump jets.. I would not have minded wasting 2,5 (or even more) instead of 0,5 tons of equipment for them if they had gotten any better. But as it stands now, the Raven just has more usability due to ECM (for the Raven itself and the team), like stated before in this thread.
There is just no point in using a Jenner over a Raven besides style.

... JJ´s are not perfect at moment, but they can still be very useful... i will not explain how and in which situations, would take me too long now... just that much: i have only 2 of them in my current setup, and in many situations i wouldn´t wanna miss them...

for everything else... i pointed out my reasons above..
