The two buildings on the top of the picture from Frozen City and River city look very similar to me. They also remind me of the bottom images from the old movie Metropolis.

What do you think - inspiration? If yes, does the movie's themes have also have a correspondence with the game development industry and/or the beta playing experience?

It could from a player point of view. I think of the people slaving away at the machine yet the allure of following that robot might correspond.

Or maybe it's just Bender.
