I wish they did like Planetside does and let you buy a "booster" that gives you XP / Money bonus for # hours.

I've always wondered about that....

I have been told (and read in several EULAs) that it is wrong to make a new topic, when there is another topic talking about the same thing...

On the other hand, people seem to treat 'necro' as one of the worst offenses possible in the few forums I've been in.

Can someone explain this apparent contradiction?
(PS - this forum is one of those who's EULA says not to make the new topic)

I think the feeling is that if the thread has been inactive for a long time then it's assumed that the topic has been fully discussed and that all the answers to your question will be in the thread somewhere so it's unnecessary to post anything new as all you're doing is pushing a resolved issue to the top.

On the other hand, I personally would rather see someone necro a thread if they feel there is more to discuss or more questions to be asked than see 138 "Shadowhawk is too big" threads and 492 "MC Prices are too high" threads.

But I'd say a general rule of thumb is if the topic is a few patches old then it's probably safe to just make a new thread (assuming no other new ones have been started since).
