I was wondering what that "blank" pilot picture thing in the GUI menu was about.

with looking at the Pilot pic and now seeing you pilot in the start up animation for you mech, it would not surprise me if at some point we get pilot color change options like coloring our mechs. I would think that at some point we would be able to make our pilots look somewhat different, at least in color and makings.

i and many others have been asking for avatar creattion ( at least a picture like the old Eve version (not nescessarily the new 3d avatar^^) ) since early in closed beta... until now, PGI refused to give a proper answer to this request...

but since there is a "portrait slot" in the frontend by now, i´d be disappointed if we don´t get something like this... i´d love to have it both in the game and in the forums...

customization options for the pilot in matches would also be nice, especially male and female pilots, ya know, there are also girls playing MWO

I suppose if we ever get to have pics they'd have to be made ingame to stop people using the inevitable obscene/offensive choices, so hopefully PGI will wait to introduce an avatar maker until they can do a really good job of it.

I'd rather wait and get a proper choice of face that you can edit in every way than have them rush it and have to pick from a choice of about 10 premade faces with ill-fitting hair

The bonus for PGI would be that if they give us decent avatars then they can sell cosmetic features for MC. As long as they don't try to charge hero mech prices for a monocle of course...
