A bit of thread necromancy, but I got the impression this detected MWO and tweaked it. It does not appear to do this.

What it does is look at your system and recommend settings. If you already turned down everything there's nothing that can be done for performance.

Isn't working for me either.
But then again I might just need a big investment to upgrading my rig.

The built is 4 years old.

Systeem:
GPU 2x GTX295 in SLI (4096MB).
CPU i7 295 (1st gen.)
OS Windows 7 Ultra
RAM 12 GB DDR3
No SSD's, just 4x 640GB HDD's in RAID 10.

At the moment ~10 - 35 fps.
Night and Heat vision are killing fps.

you need new cards i have an original i7 as well i bumped my dual 250's to dual 560's and i can run MWO at high 60 FPS average should be able to get 60 at ultra when they implement dx11 and sli you don't need a whole new rig those old i7s should hold out for a while as they currently are the farthest from becoming a bottleneck and were built quite well

There is also another product, from Razer, that goes a step further and shuts down unused/unneeded processes to free up CPU/GPU cycles. It's still in BETA but I've used it a bit and it does seem to work admirably well, especially for older or component limited systems.

Razer Game Booster

When you leave the game it relaunches everything it shutdown.

I used gamebooster before razer bought it, but I haven't tried it on my windows 8 rig yet since MWO doesn't use more than 32 bit resources.

Hmmm, It tells me that i should switch from very high to low on all settings?
I only have problems if i steam (mostly on frozen city). My fps usually gues from 60 to 30 when lots of missiles hit me, but thats it.
I will check it out, but playing on low in the past didnt help much.
My spec is:
I5 3570K @3,40GhZ
16GB Memory
Win7ultimate 64bit Sp1
NVidia GT560 TI (2GB memory)
1TB HDD ST1000DM005 HD 103SJ

Is going to be the reason for the FPS dips.
