Ah, thanks. I hadn't noticed because I usually pressed it once the shutdown was finished, or I would simply spam the power up key. I just thought the animation getting started was really slow.

Since you took the time to answer this thread, let me ask you one more question.
What was wrong with the very old system where I could keep the override key pressed the whole match and never shutdown?
Thanks.

Heat is supposed to be something that is always on your mind. Used to, if you messed up and overheated, you'd just spam the over ride key and then get back to work within a second or so. Now it takes a bit longer to power back on, and you'll also take damage from it. If you start getting hot, you also have to have the presence of mind to press over ride before you reach 100% heat.
It requires a bit more effort than before. Not a whole lot, but its noticeable.

Still, if you have the option to disable the automatic shutdown, you need to be extra careful with heat management, because if you go over the red line you take damage without warning, and I was used to it. Sometimes I pushed too much and exploded, but most of the time it was very manageable.
IMHO we should have the option to disable the automatic shutdown and take the risk.

Now, it must be used before hand (to basically override the shutdown).
To force power a Mech in shutdown, you now (again, If I understand correctly) must use the P key which is a force power up or down.
My problem is: I wish that when down we could still see our Heat level and make an informed decision as to our Forced Power Up instead of guessing if we have a chance to not take "too much" internal damages.
I wish they just do the MW4 override system where the Mech says "Mech Overheating, shutdown imminent". At that point you can press override, and then it says "shutdown overridden". Then you blow up. =)
I want my mech to give me feedback on what its doing. By having it tell me that it's going to shutdown, it gives me a choice at that point if I want the shutdown to continue or override it. And telling me that the shutdown was overridden lets me know me pressing O was successful and I can stop spamming it now. Until I get a neuro helmet, I want to know what my mech is doing. Thank you.

This actually happens to me EVERY time I overheat and shut down. I always power up again with no HUD and have to run and hide somewhere to cycle power again. Not ideal.

this, this right here, I at least want Betty to tell me that my mech is going to shut down. and if it's going to start up, or if she just wants to give me the middle finger.
Information warfare starts right in the cockpit.

I was testing again today, and by spamming the 'O' button I was able to see the animation ... took more time than last but maybe it still works the same as before. However, with the bug just stated by the dev, this may change.
