It appears that the mechbay will only allow you to add the number of jumpjets your mech is missing at the start of a mechbay session, regardless of adding or removing some or all of them during one session (without saving).
In other words: If I start a mechbay session with 4/5 jumpjets I can still add one more. If I remove any, however, I can only put one back. So if I start with 4 jumpjets and remove 4, I will only be able to add 1 back. The jumpjet component icon(?) will turn red and I will get the error "Item Limit Reached."
This appears to happen for all jumpjet-capable mechs (have tried Raven-4X, all Spiders, Catapults, and the Cataphract-3D). I have tried restarting the game but not saving the configuration as I did not want to risk gimping my configurations.

Also Jump Jets are still broken.
Just in case the devs have forgotten.

I can't place jump jets into my Cataphract 3D. Says 'Item Limit Reached' even when I have 0 currently in the mech. I only have 2 jump capable mechs, and I don't have this problem on my founders Cat. Can anyone attempt to recreate this that has the chassis?

When I read the title I couldn't help but picture the scene from Ironman where he first tests the little jets and bounces off the roof.
You should never fire your jump jets in the mech bay.

Did a quick search and didn't see anything regarding this issue with JJs, and it's a new occurance with me.
My Catapult C1 had 4 JJs installed, from the mech lab I removed them and tried to move them to the legs, I received the error "Item limit reached" when trying to reinstall them. Attempting to replace the JJs into the original position resulted in the same error.
My work around:
Remove the JJs and save new configuration. Open configuration again and then install JJs into new position.

Something seems to be broken with the Jump Jets in the Mechlab or Catapult. I encountered this problem while playing around with loadouts of my Catapult A1 and C1.
They both have JJs installed at the moment but if I take them out it seems impossible to put them back. Even when I want to put them back in exactly the same place they have been before, they are colored red in the equipment list and I get an "Item limit reached" message.
I have been afraid of saving the mech after that, so I cant say if the problem persists when saving the mech without the JJs and trying to reinstall them in another approach.

Are you sure you havent maxed the total jumpjets? I get this error with CASE only to realize i already had a CASE in that location.

As I said: "Even when I want to put them back in exactly the same place they have been before"
... that means with no changes to the mech, except removing the JJs. Its no Problem of weight, slots or max JJ number. I start the mechlab, take 1 or all 4 JJs out of the mech and after that I can't place a single one back into the mech.

Ok I just duplicated this issue on a Jenner F, stripped the entire mech down, cant remount Jumpjets as it states "item limit reached" even when the mech has no items on it.
