First off, awesome job on bringing the Mechwarrior series back. A friend and I have been playing for a few weeks now and we both love it.
One aspect that seems to be a bit unbalanced is the capping system in the Assault Mode. I'm sure you guys have spent a good chunk of time discussing this subject, but I have a few suggestions:
1) Central capping point. Either add a central capping point to the existing layout, or take away the bases and just have the one capping point. This will give the mode some focus, and will always ensure combat instead of sneaky capping which ends the match prematurely.
2) This one might be hard to implement, but I think would be pretty cool. You could either place a 'block' on capping bases until 50% of the enemy team has been killed, or have randomley generated capping points which only appear after 50% of the enemy team has been killed. The latter would ensure that no-one would 'camp' the base waiting for the enemy team to dwindle.
