Building mechs is 90% of my fun in this game, so I spend a lot of time in the mechlab.
I've seen some posts mentioning some of this stuff but I'd like to go ahead and throw out a few ideas about the MechLab, some old and some (hopefully) new.
- Make it more user friendly by making the entire Mechlab area sort of a "preview" I think I've wasted a couple million C-bills accidentally just trying to navigate around while learning.
- Make it so I don't have to purchase something to see how it will 'fit' into my mech build.
- The armor section needs to be more responsive and easier to adjust. Perhaps make the arrows larger for those of us with really high res monitors.
- The upgrades section and the loadout section needs to be combined. If it affects slots it should all be under the same "area" and shouldn't force you to save and spend c-bills before you're done. "what do you mean I just need one more slot??"
- Please expand descriptions of weapons to include damage numbers and ranges in the mechlab so I don't have to look it up on mwomercs
- When in the mechlab please have a section of overall "empty" slots. Even when purchasing, you could make it like hardpoints. This would help when considering heatsinks, endosteel and ferro-fiberous upgrades.
- Please clarify the description on double heatsinks more. It says that they're 40% more efficient but take up 2 slots. It should say "They offer double the heat dissipation, for the same weight, but take up double the space, unless integrated in a fusion engine." (Well those are battletech rules)
