the stig is good at driving, garth sucks at games. Don't see a correlation here.

garth isn't even the stig of making games

To true, not all players can overcome MWO's annoying and persistent failure to register srm damage properly

Moerderhoschi and me scared it a little (whilst admiring it's fancy 8billion LargeLaser outfit) but when it decided to re-flock to its herd our team somehow had already managed getting vaporized ... the end came quick and painless.
