Specially in both Forest Colony maps when you shoot fast moving mech w/ Streaks, they might just swirl around supposed target and explode never hitting it.
Nothing major, just awkward looking. This bug was already gone for a while, but re-appeared.

Also they somehow seem to miss the target even when they fly in a straight line.

I have seen this as well.

It is a product of the pure-pursuit guidance of the missiles.

The missiles currently try to point directly at the target. The only problem is that the target is moving, so by the next timestep, the mech has moved and the missile has to correct itself. If the mech's diameter is smaller than the turning radius of the missile, there is a possibility the missile will orbit the mech.

I really with that they would use proportional navigation instead of pure pursuit. It would allow the dev's to tone down the insane turning radius of streaks.

I actually wrote a long-winded post about this in the suggestions forum but it didn't get much attention.

Check it out if you're interested.

Here is a great demonstration of pro-nav missiles in a mod for World in Conflict: WiC:MWM.
