running 8 mans is about wanting to improve your skills and play against a competent and competitive team. it's not for making money
i am afraid turning 8-mans into a big cash cow will severely dilute the quality of people playing 8-man and destroy the essence of competition that it currently carries.

As for the issue of grinding, this boost wouldn't make it more viable. If 16 people really wanted to grind, then they would take Awesome 9Ms with the biggest XL and the most expensive load out possible and then just head shot each other and arm each other to maximize rewards.

The issue of cbill reward balance based on tasks performed in game equally applies to pugs and 8 mans alike. Example: one could argue if they spearhead an attack and break the enemy lines in a pug, effectively securing the win, but die early with little damage (since they cored 2 mechs by taking out shoulders on xls with pinpoint accuracy) that they aren't paid enough compared to a suicidal light that sprays the entire enemy team with a SL each and gets 8 assists (but really didn't scout, protect base, cap enemy base, support the team, protect heavy/assaults, etc.).
Perfect balance will never be achieved. Within 8s the same imbalances exist. If you play with a team for success of the team, you may or may not be proportionally rewarded. The game will never be able to mathematically calculate your contribution to the team and award you fairly.
The other argument, that is often made, that 8s should be paid more cbills/xp because it takes longer to setup, matches run longer, etc. is just well ludicrous.
In closing I do believe the developers should continue to strive to reward good play, and they have made substantial gains in that direction (adding spotting, tag/narc bonuses, keeping kill/assist bonuses the same, etc.). But all changes should apply to pugs and 8s alike, nothing more, nothing less (unless some clear unforeseen abuse etc. comes to light). And yes I do play 8s when ever I get the chance.

Was wondering when this weak argument would rear its ugly head again.
Not gonna happen buddy, and BTW. That's what fair fights should be like. That's the kind of money you should be earning....
...you ought to be on your knees kissing the Devs feet for allowing you to **** pugs for so long before they took away 8s, and for allowing 4s (or 8s for the ones who really know how to do it) mix with pugs. The easy money isn't going to last forever.....
...get used to it.

I find that playing eight mans tend to be more stressful than pugs. It's only logical that a more challenging mode should earn more rewards.

Then don't drop 8MAN and stick to PUGs. Or are you suggesting that 8MANs are more fun because of the challenge and you prefer them, but still want something for free?

Why in the heck would PGI do that? GXP is one way they make real money, be happy they allow you to get any GXP for free at all. I wouldn't.
