Can anyone tell, or show, me how a Raven can one shot a Hunchback? I'm sort of lost here. Maybe I haven't kept up with MWO's "progress"...

It might have been a troll build. I have seen gauss ravens and similar things before. Although a 1 shot on a hunchback seems improbable.

Still, whatever it was, there is no way it is as broken as the ECM 3l. I still have trouble with its hit boxes.

MWO is more broke now than closed beta back in August.

Your Hunchback's head has 18 points of armor maximum, and there are plenty of horrible Raven builds that can give an alpha with enough damage to obliterate that armor in one shot.

No it's not. There are glaring balance issues (ECM, all MISSILE and the eternal Catapult) and some technical issues, but at least you don't need to shoot seven paces ahead of a lolback to put it down anymore. MWO had its historical second good patch of OB this week.

A couple SRM 6 launchers and lasers point blank to your back might do the trick. Other than that a headshot is likely. Take note of your damage readout before you switch to spectate and you will know for sure how you died next time.

Head also have 15 points of internal structure. So you need 33 points of damage to destroy head location.

It's easy to miss being hit from long range when another enemy is in your face and going Dakka Dakka Dakka.

Please explain? As per my original post I was actually asking a question. If you don't want to participate, go sit on a railroad tie you arrogant *****. In fact, razor your ******* while you're at it. Wait... you know what? Be a useful member of society instead. Oh ****, that is right, you cannot. I'm sorry to the rest of you that replied sincerely, but I've absolutely lost all patients with ********. I just wanted to know in all the times I've played MWO with a Hunchback since August that his happens now for the first time. It's an honest ******* question.

This game is a GIANT mess.
I've seen some stupid things happen while I play.
I mean this game isn't as bad as WarZ per say... but with Lagshield, Lightmechs being able to load out ******** weapons, weapons not working correctly.

I just lost the desire to play this game.

AND don't feel bad. LOL I've had light mechs kill off my atlas in 5 seconds. SO don't blame yourself but buggy game mechanics.

Whoa, whoa, whoa unless they seriously changed internal structure, you are waaaaay off. The head only had 3 internal structure, so all you'd need is 21 damage directed solely at the head. IE. 4MPL or 5ML.

I use to kill allot of Awesome, Catapult, Hunchback and Centurions with an alpha strike. I still get them, but the hitbox resizing and the fact not at many people stand still as in the past make this less common.

First, are you 100% sure you had zero damage to your mech before engaging the raven? then are you 100% sure that nothing else shot you? As I know some times PPC's don't seem to play the sound when they hit you... so if a Lot-o-PPC mech nailed you a split second before the raven did it would have seemed like the raven one shot ya, when really he just got the killing damage in. Theres also the point that you didn't list what weapons the raven had either.... AC20 ravens can be pretty nasty should you be even slightly damaged...

...how long have you been playing?

The head has 15 internal structure. A double gauss hit for example will strip cockpit armor and make the structure bright red, but it won't 1shot anything unless the pilot had stripped the armor in the mechlab.

Even if it's a one off glitch, oh well. A trend would be something to talk about.

Sounds about right. A 35 ton scout on average hase a 30 point alpha multiply that by 2 and you have more firepower than the average heavy mech. An assault vs 2 lights should be a challenge but not impossible as long as your aim doesn't suck. But vs 3 or more your scrap metal which is how it should be.

Love how people cry because their Atlas couldn't take out 3 lights. Like they wouldn't have died faster if it were 3 hunchbacks instead...

Also a pretty popular spot (though lots seem to love stripping leg armor) to get that few points you need to get that extra fraction to have 1/2 or 1 tons free to slap in yet another weapon, BAB, ammo, etc.

I suppose that is possible. I remember when I used to do that to Jenner's and Commando's back in August/September, until it just stopped working. Now all I get is an explosion marking the hit and dealing 1% damage if I'm lucky.
