Saw someone else comment this in another thread, but couldn't see a thread for it so created one.

The cockpit monitors now have a massive reflective value, doesn't matter which way you point they act like giant mirrors trying to blind you.

It's like every worst sports game crowd in history waving laser pointers into your eyes.

The screens are just reflecting back the cockpit lighting, which you can dim by pressing '.'

Wow, that's neat! How come cool buttons like this (and the one to open / close missile bay doors) aren't listed anywhere in the key bindings options menu? Or maybe I'm blind...

Yeah I'm well aware of the cockpit dimming function. It doesn't change the fact that the lighting was changed in the last patch, we've had cockpit dimming for the last 2-3 patches or more.

It should be a diffuse light, not a spot. The light source type for the environment is wrong. It is also at the wrong angle, the light on the screens should be fall off light, not the hot point.
