When a PPC hits a mech they should cause Electro-Magnetic Field Interference. There by disabling temporarily the sensors and HUD of an enemy mech. This would give the cicadas a better advantage being a single energy weapon mech with 4 mguns.

Would also follow mechwarrior bt lore. And within means of science a PPC carries with it a huge amount of kinetic damage and thermal damage, it also causes a large flux in the magnetic field, this should cause a slight disrupt in SRM and LRM locks too on the mech that is hit by a PPC.
