I would say about 70% of games I have played the last 2 weeks have had anywhere from 1 to 2 members of the same team disconnected, not loaded in, look there but arent moving, and one today who loaded in without an engine. In my experience first team that has a mech down down ends up losing the far majority of the time.

Am I having a statistically anomalous experience, or is this happening to most people? This is why I dont play League of Legends because of the large drop/afk rates.

I know I drop out of games sometimes. My own internet kicks me off. This happened a lot during closed beta, and now its back. New patch or bad series of internet failures? Beats me.

The difference is you can reconnect or report players easily in League of Legends.

I really seldom have PUG games that are reall 8v8 for the whole match. On about 7/10 matches at least one player drops out before the game actually starts (most of the time on my team, at least it feels that way :P ).
Sometimes I get a blackscreen or drop to desktop myself. I can understand that players with atari/4 FPS/yellow screen bugs drop immediately after connecting. Given how often those bugs still occur, it doesn't surprise that so many games are uneven.

Wouldn't be so bad if we could rejoin. But the Devs already said that they don't have plans for that. It would also help if the matchmaker would fill DC'd slots up for let's say 1 minute after the game started (or even 30 or 10 seconds) so at least those guys with a direct crash to desktop, blackscreen etc. could be replaced.

I don't know if they fixed it, but people used to farm cbills this way. Load trial 1, disconnect. Load trial 2, disconnect... etc etc. Play 4th guy. By the time you are done the first are out and do it again.

I havent seen rates of missing players this high since about 2nd and 3rd weeks of closed beta. There has always been disconnects through open beta, but seems the rate has went way up.
