OK guys, noob question. I bought a Deaths Knell and am earning xp with it but I'm not sure where the xp earned is. Can someone please enlighten me? I have noticed that when you use a trial mech the xp is still gained, but can't be used toward elite and master unlock until you buy that same mech.

The experience is placed in that chassis' variant slot in the pilot lab.
The Death's Knell would be located in Light>Commando.

Don't have a hero mech, but it should show up if you go to the pilot lab tab, open the light mech list and find the Death's Knell listed in there somewhere.

It's counter intuitive, but spending XP is all done in the pilot lab, even for mechs.

Also, FYI, in terms of XP there is nothing special about a Hero mech. Hero mechs earn you extra Cbills, but the XP is just like any other mech. Hero mechs earn it at the same rate as any other mech, and you find it in the same location as any other mech.

Premium Time is the only way to boost your XP. I know that's not what you were asking, but just FYI. Good luck!

Yeah, Founder's mech's do NOT receive an XP bonus. As Alymbic said, this is often misunderstood. The ONLY way to get an XP bonus is from Premium time. Since all Founders packages included some amount of Premium time, Founders all got an XP bonus and they thought it was because of the mechs. But it was from the Premium time, not the mechs.

The mechs give you a Cbill bonus.
Premium time gives you an additional Cbill bonus plus an XP bonus.

Easy mistake.

No, Hero's and Founders mechs never provided Exp boosts. Its always been c-bills.

The Exp boost for founders came with the bonus premium time.

It gets repeated quite often on the forums so I would guess there. When they advertised, it was for cbills only. The xp came from the premium time that was advertised with the package.
